Product Liability Attorneys: Defective Children’s Products
Defective children’s products cause serious injury and death to the most vulnerable members of the public: our children. When a product defect injures a child, the parents have a legal right to pursue financial compensation on their child’s behalf.
For more than 35 years, the attorneys of Hersh & Hersh have won financial compensation for their clients injured by dangerous and defective products for children. Did your child develop lead-paint poisoning from a defective toy? Was he or she injured on a dangerous piece of playground equipment? Making Life Safer for All Children
Our clients’ child died because of a defective baby crib. Our work not only secured a substantial settlement for the child’s parents, but also resulted in the largest recall of full-sized cribs ever in the U.S. Three children died, seven were trapped and 55 others were involved in incidents related to a design flaw and hardware failure that causes the crib’s drop rail to separate from the frame.
We represented a 5-year-old boy who suffered third degree burns over 45 percent of his body when a T-shirt he was wearing caught fire and the flames could not be extinguished. The T-shirt was designed to change colors when exposed to different temperatures. Our attorneys learned that the special dying process used to make the shirt change colors also made it much more flammable than a normal cotton T-shirt. The case settled for a substantial amount prior to trial.
